A simple yet delicious dessert is ready in minutes. This creamy, velvety dessert combines the richness of chocolate, the creaminess of avocado, and the refreshing tang of orange.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 50g dark chocolate chips
  • ½ tsp vanilla essence
  • ½ tablespoon maple syrup
  • 50g chocolate
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 1 orange for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Add the avocado flesh to a blender.
  2. Melt the chocolate. Add all the ingredients listed above to the blender and blitz until smooth, scraping down the sides often.
  3. Spoon the chocolate mousse into glasses or bowls. Place in the fridge for 1-2 hours to set.
  4. Garnish with fresh orange segments or candied oranges and orange zest.
